Colin Powell on Kindness

"Always show more kindness than seems necessary because the person receiving it needs it more than you will ever know. " (Colin Powell) 

I believe this is true, though it's often hard to put into practice! Many people with whom we come into contact on a daily basis are carrying burdens we'll never know about, and a little kindness can come as a pleasant surprise and go a long way toward making them feel that someone cares!
