Highlight of my day one Friday: While taking the outdoor stairs to get to a class, I was surprised by loud rhythmic chanting coming from a kindergarten class. These children and their teacher were having a picnic on the playground. When they saw me, they spontaneously started yelling, over and over again, 3 different chants that I had taught them that semester.
"Face, body, what's going on!" (3 things to look for when we're trying to understand how someone feels)
"Pain, danger, property! " (Guidelines to help distinguish between tattling and reporting)
"PDP, PDP, tell the teacher when it's PDP!" (Pain, danger, property)
It's good for any adult's morale to know that our children are actually taking in the life skills we're trying to teach them, so thanks, Miss Harris' class!
